Bar & Residence Lounge
AWARD WINNING LANDMARK
Benco Constructions Pty Ltd was engaged in a design and construct capacity to renovate and refurbish an existing pharmaceutical dispensary. The building was adjacent to the client’s existing restaurant. Our brief was to integrate the two buildings into a bar/restaurant facility, creating 3 venues, creating an exciting and sophisticated space appealing to a diverse clientele. The result was the construction of several varied and intimate spaces within the building to increase the functionality, creating a space that alludes to a by-gone era – mixing vintage, industrial themes with a modern edge.
The Benco team created interesting and intimate spaces throughout the building using various mediums such as recycled timbers and earth red bricks. The pressed metal ceiling upstairs and recycled VJ downstairs was used to accentuate the period and style of the original 80 year old dispensary building. The use of timber flooring and polishing of existing aged concrete, distressed paint finishes, wallpaper and timber panelling were also used to create the feeling of industrial, vintage glamour. It creates desirable space with exciting finishes and building mediums. It challenges the optical senses with its eclectic mix of mediums creating a groovy/hip space that is warm and inviting.
“It was important we selected a contractor who not only could deliver a project on budget & time but a contractor who understood our industry & the importance of creating a venue which would hopefully become a landmark development within the Mackay City Centre. Benco Constructions did exactly this. Benco Constructions produced a landmark venue for us and our employees, in that never before have we had a development from day one, work with such ease for our employees & guests alike.” Damien Connors
